What this offer delivers

A Contract Review Note sets out, in plain language, which clauses in your agreement carry meaningful obligation, which are unusual for this type of contract, and which would be reasonable to raise with the other side before signing. The relevant wording is quoted alongside the comment so you can see exactly what is being discussed.

The situation this addresses

Contracts drafted by the other party are written with their interests in view, which is ordinary practice, but it means the reader is often working out what a clause means for them without much help. Small companies and independent operators in particular tend to receive these drafts without in-house legal support to fall back on.

How the review is carried out

The document is read in full, and each clause is considered for what it obliges you to do, permit, or forgo. Clauses that are standard for the type of agreement are noted as such; clauses that depart from what is typical are flagged with an explanation of the difference.

Example: "The Supplier shall indemnify the Purchaser against all losses..." — reviewed for scope, cap, and carve-outs, with a plain note on what liability this creates in practice.

The investment

¥22,000

This covers one agreement of up to twenty pages, reviewed and returned within five working days, including suggested alternative wording for up to five clauses. Agreements outside this scope can be discussed before work begins.

How progress is measured

The note itself is the deliverable, and its completeness is judged against the document it covers: every clause that carries meaningful obligation should be addressed, either as standard or as flagged for attention.

A note on assurance

If the returned note does not address a section of the agreement you expected covered, you can raise this directly and it will be reviewed at no further charge.

Getting started

Send the document along with a short note on what you would like covered, using the contact form. A scope and fee will be confirmed before the review begins.
